629 Beach Cleanup

On 18th October 2025, Vizag Volunteers Association successfully completed its 630th Beach Cleanup Activity, continuing its long-standing commitment to environmental conservation and community service. The initiative brought together 10 dedicated volunteers who enthusiastically contributed their time and effort towards protecting and preserving the natural beauty of Vizag’s coastline.

Over a period of three hours, volunteers actively cleaned the beach and collected 12 bags of waste, including plastic litter, snack wrappers, birthday celebration waste, poppers, blasters, discarded idols, and other non-biodegradable materials. Their collective efforts helped reduce pollution along the shoreline and contributed to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for both residents and marine life.

The cleanup activity highlighted the importance of responsible waste disposal and environmental awareness. Through their actions, volunteers demonstrated how community participation and individual responsibility can play a crucial role in protecting natural ecosystems and maintaining clean public spaces.

Under the leadership of Lead Volunteer Rishitha, the team worked with dedication, enthusiasm, and teamwork to ensure the success of the initiative. Their early morning efforts reflected a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and inspired others to take part in creating a positive impact on the community.

Beyond removing waste, the event served as an awareness initiative, encouraging citizens to adopt sustainable practices and actively contribute to preserving the city’s natural resources. It reinforced the message that keeping beaches clean is a shared responsibility that requires continuous community involvement.
