Disaster Management and Amateure Radio Communication Training Sesion

Vizag Volunteers successfully organized an insightful and practical training session on Disaster Management and Amateur Radio Communication, aimed at enhancing the preparedness and response capabilities of our volunteers during emergencies and natural disasters.

The session provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of disaster management principles, emergency communication systems, and the critical role that volunteers play during crisis situations. Volunteers were introduced to the fundamentals of HAM (Amateur) Radio Communication, learning how these communication networks can be used to establish reliable connections when conventional communication systems fail during disasters such as cyclones, floods, earthquakes, or other emergencies.

Through interactive discussions and practical demonstrations, participants gained valuable knowledge about disaster response coordination, field communication support, emergency protocols, and the importance of timely information sharing.
