Mercy Foundation

On 13th July 2022, a core team of 7 Vizag Volunteers visited Mercy Foundation, a home for boys, as part of the organization's Special People Project. The purpose of the visit was to conduct a survey, understand the needs of the children and the institution, and identify ways in which meaningful support could be provided in the future.

During the visit, the volunteers spent considerable time interacting with the children, engaging in conversations, listening to their stories, and understanding their daily lives. These interactions helped the team gain valuable insights into the challenges faced by the home and the resources that were required to better support the children living there.

Through the survey, the volunteers identified several essential needs of the institution and gathered information that would help in planning future support activities. Beyond assessing requirements, the visit was also an opportunity to build relationships and create a positive experience for the children through companionship, encouragement, and meaningful engagement.

This survey was an important step in understanding how Vizag Volunteers could contribute effectively and sustainably to the well-being of the children at Mercy Foundation. It reinforced the belief that community service begins with listening, understanding, and identifying genuine needs before taking action.

We extend our appreciation to the 7 core team members who dedicated their time and effort to this initiative. Their commitment to understanding community needs reflects the true spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility.

Through the Special People Project, Vizag Volunteers continue to reach out to vulnerable communities, build meaningful connections, and work towards creating positive and lasting change in the lives of those who need support the most. ❤️✨🤝
