During the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining clean and sanitized environments became an essential part of preventing the spread of the virus. Families with infected members often faced concerns about virus transmission within their homes, while workplaces also required regular sanitization to ensure the safety of employees and visitors.

Understanding these challenges, Vizag Volunteers launched a Home Sanitization Support Initiative to assist community members in creating safer living and working spaces. The initiative was designed to help reduce the risk of transmission by sanitizing frequently touched surfaces and areas that could potentially harbor the virus.

Based on requests received from residents, the volunteer team organized and carried out sanitization drives at homes and selected workplaces. Equipped with the necessary safety gear and sanitization materials, volunteers carefully disinfected door handles, gates, stairways, furniture, common areas, and other frequently used surfaces to minimize the chances of contamination.

The Home Sanitization Support Initiative became an important component of Vizag Volunteers' broader COVID-19 response efforts. Alongside food relief, medical support, plasma assistance, and awareness programs, this initiative helped address another critical aspect of pandemic management—maintaining safe and hygienic environments.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the volunteers who participated in these sanitization drives and to the community members who placed their trust in the organization during difficult times. Their collective efforts helped make homes and workplaces safer for many families across the city.
