Oxygen in the covid-19 pandemic has been the most valuable resource the health industry has seen in recent years. We saw a spike in demand for Oxygen during the second wave of covid-19, where patients needed Oxygen at home and hospitals. We at Vizag Volunteers believe that Oxygen should be provided free of charge, and the pandemic should not be used as an opportunity to make profits. So, we have established the largest Oxygen Bank in Vizag with an inventory of 92 Oxygen Concentrators and 30 Oxygen Cylinders. The service is provided free of cost and are asked to be returned once the patient has recovered completely.

We believe that Oxygen is not something that is restricted to the covid-19 pandemic. The need for Oxygen is linked to other health conditions, like lung diseases, cancer, kidney failure or a weakened heart. Therefore, we aim to create an inventory of 500 Oxygen Concentrators and 1000 Cylinders of various capacities.
