On 14th August 2025, Vizag Volunteers Association actively participated in the Begging Free Vizag – Jyothirgamaya initiative, a social awareness program aimed at addressing the issue of begging and promoting the rehabilitation, empowerment, and social inclusion of vulnerable individuals. The initiative sought to encourage community participation in creating a more compassionate and responsible society while supporting efforts toward a beggar-free Vizag.
A dedicated team of volunteers played a key role in the successful implementation of the program. They assisted in public awareness activities, community outreach efforts, participant guidance, and coordination with organizers. Through their active involvement, volunteers helped spread important messages about dignity, self-reliance, and the need for collective action in addressing social challenges.
The initiative focused on educating the public about the importance of supporting rehabilitation programs and creating opportunities for individuals who are forced to depend on begging for survival. Awareness activities highlighted the value of education, skill development, employment opportunities, and community support in helping individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence.
Volunteers engaged with members of the public, encouraging meaningful discussions on social responsibility and the role each individual can play in contributing to positive change. Their efforts helped foster greater awareness about the need for long-term solutions that address the root causes of poverty, homelessness, and social exclusion.
Beyond awareness creation, the program strengthened community involvement and inspired participants to contribute towards building a more inclusive and supportive environment for disadvantaged individuals. The initiative reflected the belief that sustainable social change can be achieved through compassion, collaboration, and active civic participation.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all volunteers, organizers, and supporters whose dedication and commitment contributed to the success of the Begging Free Vizag – Jyothirgamaya initiative. Through such programs, Vizag Volunteers Association continues to work towards social welfare, community empowerment, and the creation of a more caring and equitable society.
Together, we move closer to building a city where every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and opportunity. ✨
