Are donations to Vizag Volunteers tax exempt?
No, Donations to Vizag Volunteers are not tax exempt. We are a newly registered non-profit and are trying our best to get 80G certification.
Why should I donate monthly?
When you donate on a monthly basis you don’t just help the cause we are working on, you also help us plan our work at the grassroots level in a more efficient way. Your monthly recurring donations also help us save costs on reaching out to donors via multiple platforms.
As a monthly donor you get the following benefits:
Do you accept cash donations? (we accept but we prefer account transfers)
Yes, we do accept donations in the form of cash at our office, but we prefer the following listed modes:
- Donations via our website.
- Fund transfers to our bank account.
- UPI Donation using our QR code.
- The option to change or cancel your donation at any time.
- Cheques/Demand Drafts in the name of Vizag Volunteers Association. Submitted at our office.
Donations are refundable? (no)
Vizag Volunteers takes utmost care to process the donations as per your instructions. Donations once made can’t be refunded since they are immediately put into use. Incase of any technical issues, like double debit on your end, we’ll process the refund if you bring it to our attention in 7 days of the transaction. You can send us a formal mail to support@vizagvolunteers.org along with a proof of deduction of donation amount and a valid PAN of the donor.

I have seen Vizag Volunteers from the day they started. It was not an easy ride for them. They started during a time when Covid was at its peak and there was so much uncertainty and fear among the people. But, nothing could stop these volunteers, who just had an intention of helping the public. As and when there was a need, these young volunteers went on to cater to the public's needs. That was such a relief to many. Be it the dry groceries, the medicines, the medical help to the patients, plasma, doctor's advice wherever necessary, reaching covid patients to hospitals. Anyone needed help, these volunteers were ready and they were at the spot. The best part was, they were at service 24/7. Hats off to each one of them.

I can vouch that these amazing people from the VV team have provided great service to vizag ppl for the last one year... They have made a process for everything right from helping needy ppl with food, supplies etc... and their work during LG Polymers gas leak is amazing, even till date they are main contact point for any emergencies like hospital treatment, finding donor for plasma/blood donation etc...One important thing is serving the migrant labour ,day and night they ensured supplies are provided to the needy people for months. Kudos team.
