As the 2nd Wave of Covid pandemic is going down in our city we have seen a spike in requests for blood in Vizag.
We are collaborating with Rotary organizations and conducting blood camps to encouraging blood donation among the youth and also Fill the Blood Banks for future needs.

As the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic gradually began to decline, hospitals and blood banks across Visakhapatnam started experiencing a significant shortage of blood supplies. While the immediate health crisis was easing, the need for blood for surgeries, emergencies, accident victims, and patients undergoing treatment remained constant. This led to an increasing number of requests for blood from hospitals and families across the city.
The success of this initiative was made possible by the collective efforts of volunteers, Rotary partners, healthcare professionals, and generous donors who chose to give a part of themselves to help others. Their selfless contributions strengthened the healthcare support system and ensured that blood would be available for those in need.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported this cause. By donating blood, spreading awareness, or volunteering at the camps, each person played an important role in saving lives and supporting the community.
Together, we continue to prove that a simple act of kindness can make a life-changing difference. Let us keep inspiring more people to come forward, donate blood, and help build a healthier and more compassionate society.
