On 2nd February 2026, Vizag Volunteers Association successfully organized a PCOD-OS Awareness Session with the objective of creating awareness, promoting education, and encouraging better health outcomes for women and girls affected by Polycystic Ovary Disease (PCOD). The initiative aimed to empower participants with accurate information, practical guidance, and access to resources that support women's health and well-being.
The awareness session brought together volunteers, healthcare professionals, and community members to discuss the causes, symptoms, prevention, and management of PCOD. Through informative presentations and interactive discussions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the condition and its impact on physical, emotional, and reproductive health.
Volunteers played a key role in coordinating the event, assisting participants, and ensuring the smooth conduct of the session. Their efforts helped create a welcoming and supportive environment where attendees could openly engage, ask questions, and learn from experts and experienced individuals.
The program emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, healthy lifestyle choices, regular medical consultations, proper nutrition, and physical activity in managing PCOD effectively. By addressing common misconceptions and promoting awareness, the session encouraged women to take proactive steps toward maintaining their health and well-being.
Beyond providing medical information, the initiative focused on empowering women through knowledge and support. It highlighted the importance of creating a community where women feel informed, confident, and encouraged to seek timely medical assistance when needed.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers, healthcare professionals, and participants who contributed to the success of the PCOD-OS Awareness Session. Their dedication and active involvement helped make the event informative, impactful, and meaningful.
Through such awareness programs, Vizag Volunteers Association continues to promote health education, women's empowerment, and community well-being. Together, we are working towards a future where every woman has access to the knowledge, support, and resources needed to lead a healthier and more confident life. 💙
