The Vizag Volunteers team visited Priyadarshini Old-age Home, bringing joy to the golden-age residents through interactive activities such as singing, dancing, and games like "lemon and spoon." We also arranged pampering sessions with mehendi and nail polish, making the day extra special. The event concluded with the distribution of chocolates, fruits, and water bottles. Our heartfelt thanks go to Kamaluddin Sir for sponsoring the event, Glory Ma'am for arranging it, and team lead Pawan Sagar Garu for his excellent coordination. This visit was a heartwarming experience that fostered connections and brought smiles to everyone involved.
On 11th Jan, 2025 the Vizag Volunteers team embarked on a heartfelt visit to Priyadarshini Old-age Home. Starting from the Vizag Volunteers office at 3:00 PM, we reached the old-age home within a short span of 15 minutes. Our team was warmly welcomed upon arrival, and we felt an immediate connection with the senior residents, whom we lovingly referred to as the "golden age" individuals. With immense support from our sponsors and team members, we initiated the event with a round of introductions, fostering a sense of camaraderie and trust. The atmosphere quickly became lively as we engaged in a variety of activities designed to bring joy and entertainment to the residents. From singing and dancing to fun-filled games like "glass hitting" and "lemon and spoon," the old-age home resonated with laughter and cheer. In addition to the games, we organized special pampering sessions for the residents, including mehendi application and nail polishing. These little gestures brought smiles to their faces and made the day truly memorable for everyone involved. As the event progressed, the time spent with the residents gave us a profound sense of joy and fulfillment. It reminded us of the importance of connecting with and learning from the older generation, something we feel is often overlooked in today’s fast-paced world. To add a sweet ending to the day, we distributed chocolates, fruits, and water bottles among the residents, a small token of our affection and care. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kamaluddin Sir for his generous sponsorship, which made this event possible. We would also like to express our deepest appreciation to our dedicated team lead, Pawan Sagar Garu, whose initiative and seamless coordination were instrumental in making this event a grand success. The visit to Priyadarshini Old-age Home was more than just an event; it was a cherished experience that left a lasting impact on both the residents and the volunteers. It strengthened our commitment to creating a positive difference in the lives of those around us.
