Transforming Lives, Building a Compassionate City
We begin by identifying areas with high begging activity—such as busy junctions, temples, and markets. Our goal is to understand the diverse needs of individuals on the streets. We:
Categorize individuals by age, gender, and health status (elderly, women, children, disabled, mentally ill, migrants).
Identify vulnerable individuals, such as those who may be victims of trafficking or addiction, and offer them a way out of these exploitative situations.
Once identified, we offer immediate relief with the help of our volunteers and police. Our support includes:
Basic needs such as food, clothing, and hygiene essentials.
Medical screenings to address health issues and psychological evaluations to support emotional recovery.
Relocation to shelters, old-age homes, or rehabilitation centers to provide a safe environment for healing.
Building trust and offering support is essential. Through open conversations and active listening, we:
Provide a safe space for individuals to express their feelings.
Reconnect people with their families when possible to rebuild relationships.
Offer mental wellness sessions, helping individuals find hope and strength for a brighter future.
After ensuring a safe environment, we help individuals transition back to society through:
Employment opportunities through partnerships with local organizations, empowering individuals to become financially independent.
Creating a compassionate society is key. Our efforts include:
Public campaigns to educate people on the dangers of giving money to beggars on the streets.
Encouraging donations to NGOs and programs offering long-term solutions instead of temporary fixes.
Promoting rehabilitation and empowerment as sustainable solutions to begging.
The Begging-Free Vizag initiative focuses on transforming lives through identification, rescue, rehabilitation, and skill development. By working together with the community, volunteers, and local organizations, we aim to create a city where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity and hope.
Let’s build a future where no one is left behind, and everyone thrives.
Ensure volunteers are healthy before participation.

Avoid sensitive topics unless instructed.
Provide orientation on safety protocols for volunteers.
Educate volunteers on respectful interaction with vulnerable individuals.
To empower individuals involved in begging by offering comprehensive support, including shelter, medical care, skill development, and emotional rehabilitation—creating opportunities for a dignified, self-reliant future. Our ultimate vision is to build a compassionate, begging-free Vizag, where every individual can thrive with respect and opportunity.
Begging-Free Vizag is a transformative humanitarian mission to identify, understand, and uplift the lives of beggars across Visakhapatnam. In collaboration with Vizag City Police, this initiative uses ground-level surveys to uncover root causes like poverty and disability, and connects individuals with rehabilitation, healthcare, training, and shelter. The goal: to build a begging-free Vizag rooted in dignity, compassion, and inclusion.
