Project Details

Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) is a common hormonal disorder affecting women of reproductive age. It occurs when the ovaries produce excessive androgens (male hormones), leading to multiple small cysts in the ovaries. This condition can cause irregular periods, weight gain, acne, hair loss, infertility, and an increased risk of diabetes and heart disease. While PCOD can be managed through *lifestyle changes, medication, and hormonal therapy, early diagnosis and awareness are crucial for better health outcomes. The *PCOD-OS Project* aims to spread awareness, provide medical support, and empower women to take charge of their reproductive health.
