Safety Precautions Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, we are following all precautions to avoid spreading the virus. You are advised to wear a mask throughout the cleanup and maintain 2 feet of physical distance. Please wear good quality shoes to avoid any cuts from broken glass pieces. Gloves You will be provided with good quality gloves to avoid direct contact of hands with waste. Cleanup bags We use High Density Poly Ethylene bags (Rice bags) to collect the waste on beaches due to their durability.
🌊 466th Beach Cleanup Activity – 16th October 2022 🌊
On 16th October 2022, Vizag Volunteers successfully conducted the 466th Beach Cleanup Activity, continuing our dedicated efforts to preserve Vizag’s coastline and promote environmental responsibility through active community participation.
The cleanup drive brought together enthusiastic volunteers who shared a common commitment to protecting the natural beauty of our beaches. Participants actively collected plastic waste, bottles, food wrappers, fishing debris, and other litter scattered across the shoreline. Their collective efforts helped restore the cleanliness of the beach while preventing harmful waste from entering the ocean and impacting marine life.
The activity also served as an important awareness initiative focused on environmental conservation and responsible waste management. Volunteers interacted with beach visitors and local residents, encouraging them to reduce plastic consumption, dispose of waste responsibly, and adopt sustainable practices that contribute to cleaner public spaces and a healthier environment.
