Safety Precautions
Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, we are following all precautions to avoid spreading the virus. You are advised to wear a mask throughout the cleanup and maintain 2 feet of physical distance. Please wear good quality shoes to avoid any cuts from broken glass pieces.
Gloves
You will be provided with good quality gloves to avoid direct contact of hands with waste.
Clean up bags
We use High Density Poly Ethylene bags (Rice bags) to collect the waste on beaches due to their durability.
🌊 482nd Beach Cleanup Activity – 29th January 2023 🌊
On 29th January 2023, Vizag Volunteers successfully conducted the 482nd Beach Cleanup Activity, continuing our ongoing efforts to preserve the beauty of Vizag’s coastline and promote environmental responsibility within the community.
The cleanup activity brought together dedicated volunteers who enthusiastically participated in cleaning the beach and protecting the coastal ecosystem. Volunteers actively collected plastic waste, bottles, food wrappers, discarded fishing materials, and other litter scattered across the shoreline. Their collective efforts helped restore the cleanliness of the beach and prevented harmful waste from reaching the ocean.
In addition to the cleanup, the activity focused on raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and responsible waste management. Volunteers encouraged beach visitors and local residents to reduce plastic usage, dispose of waste properly, and adopt sustainable habits that contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment.
The 482nd Beach Cleanup Activity highlighted the power of community involvement and teamwork. Every volunteer contributed with dedication and enthusiasm, demonstrating how small individual actions can collectively create a significant positive impact on society and the environment.
