Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, we are following all precautions to avoid spreading the virus. You are advised to wear a mask throughout the cleanup and maintain 2 feet of physical distance. Please wear good quality shoes to avoid any cuts from broken glass pieces.
You will be provided with good quality gloves to avoid direct contact of hands with waste.
We use High Density Poly Ethylene bags (Rice bags) to collect the waste on beaches due to their durability.
๐ 536th Beach Cleanup Activity – 04th February 2024 ๐
On 04th February 2024, Vizag Volunteers successfully conducted the 536th Beach Cleanup Activity, continuing our commitment to protecting Vizag’s coastline and promoting environmental sustainability through collective community action.
The cleanup drive brought together dedicated volunteers who enthusiastically participated in cleaning the beach and preserving the natural beauty of our coastal environment. Volunteers actively collected plastic waste, bottles, food wrappers, fishing debris, and other litter scattered across the shoreline, preventing harmful waste from entering the ocean and affecting marine ecosystems.
The activity served as an important reminder of the role each individual plays in protecting the environment. Along with cleaning the beach, volunteers helped spread awareness about responsible waste disposal, reducing plastic pollution, and adopting sustainable practices in everyday life. Their efforts encouraged beach visitors and local residents to take greater responsibility for maintaining clean public spaces.
The 536th Beach Cleanup Activity highlighted the power of teamwork, dedication, and community involvement. Every volunteer contributed towards creating a positive environmental impact, demonstrating that small actions taken consistently can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
Beach cleanups are not only about removing waste but also about inspiring environmental consciousness and fostering a culture of sustainability. Through such initiatives, we continue to educate, motivate, and empower citizens to become active participants in protecting our natural resources.
Vizag Volunteers extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who dedicated their valuable time and effort to make the 536th Beach Cleanup Activity a success. Your commitment and support continue to strengthen our mission of building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Vizag.
Together, we will continue to safeguard our coastline, protect marine life, and work towards a healthier environment for present and future generations. ๐๐ฑ
