Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, we are following all precautions to avoid spreading the virus. You are advised to wear a mask throughout the cleanup and maintain 2 feet of physical distance. Please wear good quality shoes to avoid any cuts from broken glass pieces.
You will be provided with good quality gloves to avoid direct contact of hands with waste.
We use High Density Poly Ethylene bags (Rice bags) to collect the waste on beaches due to their durability.
Kalam View Point, located near Jodugullapalem, is one of Vizag's most cherished coastal destinations. Known for its sweeping sea views, rugged landscapes, and serene beaches, the area attracts countless visitors who come to experience the beauty of the Bay of Bengal and the tranquility of nature.
However, the increasing presence of litter along the shoreline threatens the very charm that makes this destination special. Plastic waste and marine debris not only affect the visual appeal of the beach but also endanger the delicate coastal ecosystem that supports marine life and local biodiversity.
Beach cleanup drives at Kalam View Point are a step toward restoring and preserving this natural treasure. Through the collective efforts of volunteers, the shoreline is transformed into a cleaner and healthier environment, ensuring that future visitors can continue to enjoy the beauty and serenity of Vizag's coastline.
