Safety Precautions
Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, we are following all precautions to avoid spreading the virus. You are advised to wear a mask throughout the cleanup and maintain 2 feet of physical distance. Please wear good quality shoes to avoid any cuts from broken glass pieces.
Gloves
You will be provided with good quality gloves to avoid direct contact of hands with waste.
Clean up bags
We use High Density Poly Ethylene bags (Rice bags) to collect the waste on beaches due to their durability.
🌊 551st Beach Cleanup Activity – 19th May 2024 🌊
On 19th May 2024, Vizag Volunteers successfully organized the 551st Beach Cleanup Activity, continuing our unwavering commitment to protecting Vizag’s coastline and fostering environmental responsibility within the community.
The cleanup drive brought together passionate volunteers who dedicated their time and effort towards preserving the beauty of our beaches. Participants actively collected plastic waste, bottles, food wrappers, fishing debris, and other litter scattered across the shoreline. Their collective efforts helped restore the cleanliness of the beach and prevented waste from entering the ocean, where it can pose serious threats to marine life and coastal ecosystems.
Beyond cleaning the beach, the activity served as an important platform for spreading awareness about environmental conservation, responsible waste management, and sustainable living practices. Volunteers engaged with beach visitors and encouraged them to reduce plastic usage, dispose of waste responsibly, and contribute towards maintaining clean public spaces.
The 551st Beach Cleanup Activity showcased the strength of teamwork and community participation. Every volunteer played a vital role in making the initiative successful, demonstrating that consistent collective action can create a meaningful and lasting impact on the environment.

Dear Vizag Volunteers, We have successfully completed our 551st Beach Clean-Up on 19th, May 2024. 38 volunteers participated and contributed 114 hours of their precious time together and collected more than 50 bags of trash that constituted of Plastic, Polythene covers, Clothes and Glass pieces.
