Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, we are following all precautions to avoid spreading the virus. You are advised to wear a mask throughout the cleanup and maintain 2 feet of physical distance. Please wear good quality shoes to avoid any cuts from broken glass pieces.
You will be provided with good quality gloves to avoid direct contact of hands with waste.
We use High Density Poly Ethylene bags (Rice bags) to collect the waste on beaches due to their durability
Every weekend, dedicated volunteers come together for a beach cleanup drive with a shared goal of preserving the beauty of our coastline. What may seem like a few hours of cleaning creates a lasting impact on the environment and the community.
By removing plastic waste, discarded packaging, and other litter from the shore, these cleanups help protect marine life and prevent pollution from entering the ocean. The cleaner beaches not only improve the coastal ecosystem but also provide a healthier and more enjoyable space for visitors.
Beyond waste collection, the initiative inspires environmental awareness and responsible behavior among citizens. Each weekend cleanup serves as a reminder that collective action, no matter how small, can contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
Every weekend, volunteers from diverse backgrounds gather along the coastline with a common purpose—to make a positive difference to the environment through beach cleanup activities. These regular drives have become more than just cleanup events; they have evolved into a community movement that promotes environmental stewardship and civic responsibility. Through consistent efforts, volunteers demonstrate that protecting our natural resources requires dedication and collective action.
The impact of these cleanups can be seen immediately in the transformed shoreline. Bags of plastic waste, food wrappers, bottles, fishing debris, and other litter are removed before they can harm marine ecosystems. By preventing waste from reaching the ocean, the initiative contributes to the protection of marine life, reduces environmental degradation, and helps maintain the natural beauty of the coastline.
The benefits extend beyond environmental conservation. Weekend cleanups provide opportunities for individuals, families, students, and organizations to participate in meaningful community service. These activities foster teamwork, strengthen social connections, and create a sense of ownership toward public spaces. Participants leave with a greater understanding of environmental challenges and a stronger commitment to sustainable practices.
Over time, the cumulative impact of these weekly efforts becomes truly remarkable. Cleaner beaches, increased public awareness, reduced pollution, and a growing network of environmentally conscious citizens are all outcomes of this ongoing initiative. Every weekend cleanup contributes to a larger vision of healthier oceans, cleaner coastlines, and communities that actively work together to create a sustainable future for generations to come.
