656 beach cleanup

On 12th April 2026, Vizag Volunteers successfully completed their 656th Beach Cleanup Activity in collaboration with Cognizant Vizag. The event brought together 27 enthusiastic volunteers who dedicated 3 hours of their time and energy towards creating a cleaner and healthier coastline.

Through their collective efforts, the team successfully removed 18 bags of waste from the beach, including plastic water bottles, footwear, bottles, plastic debris, and large cloth waste. By removing these pollutants from the shoreline, the volunteers helped prevent waste from entering the ocean and harming marine life.

The cleanup was a wonderful example of how collaboration and community participation can create a meaningful environmental impact. The dedication shown by the volunteers, who gathered early in the morning for this cause, reflects a shared commitment to protecting our beaches and preserving the natural beauty of our coastline.
