677 Beach Cleanup

🌊 Beach Cleanup 677 | A Shoreline Worth Protecting

On 23rd August 2026, we successfully completed our 677th Beach Cleanup at Kalam Sea View Point, bringing together 15 enthusiastic volunteers for a meaningful morning of environmental action.

Working across the shoreline, the team removed 20 bags of waste, including plastic, nano-plastic, pooja materials, glass bottles, and other discarded items. Each type of waste collected reflects the different challenges our coastal spaces face and the importance of keeping litter away from the shore.

The activity was a great example of how community participation can turn concern for the environment into tangible action. With everyone contributing their time and effort, a significant amount of waste was cleared from the beach, creating a cleaner space for visitors and the coastal ecosystem.

A special thanks to Lead Volunteer Vittal Gaaru for guiding the activity, and to all 15 volunteers who actively participated and made the cleanup possible. Your involvement and commitment add strength to every initiative we undertake.
