Blood Camp at GVP College

As concerns about the potential third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic grew, hospitals and blood banks across Visakhapatnam began witnessing an increase in blood requirements. While healthcare systems prepared for future challenges, maintaining adequate blood reserves became essential to support emergency treatments, surgeries, accident victims, and patients requiring regular transfusions.

Recognizing this need, Vizag Volunteers organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Gayatri Vidya Parishad Educational Institutions and in collaboration with KGH Blood Bank. The initiative aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation among students, faculty members, and the wider community while strengthening blood bank reserves for future medical needs.

The success of the camp was made possible through the support of Gayatri Vidya Parishad Educational Institutions, KGH Blood Bank, dedicated volunteers, medical staff, and generous donors who stepped forward to help save lives. Their contributions will help ensure that patients in need have access to life-saving blood when required.
