One of the busiest food points of the five food points, Pinagadi food point, was an inspiration for all the food points. Every day more than 150 water packet bags and more than 1500-2000 food packets were distributed. The food point was run for the longest time and was the last point to be closed.

Migrant Workers Service Pinagadi

During the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pinagadi Food Point emerged as one of the most active and impactful relief centers established by Vizag Volunteers. Among the five food distribution points operated during the crisis, Pinagadi stood out for its scale of operations, consistency, and unwavering commitment to serving those in need.

Every day, the volunteers at the Pinagadi Food Point worked tirelessly to ensure that essential food and water reached people affected by the lockdown. The food point distributed more than 1,500–2,000 food packets daily, along with over 150 bags of water packets, providing much-needed support to daily wage workers, migrant laborers, homeless individuals, and families struggling to access basic necessities.

The success of the Pinagadi Food Point was driven by the dedication and teamwork of the volunteers who spent long hours coordinating food preparation, packing, transportation, and distribution. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, they continued their service with determination, ensuring that no one who came seeking help was turned away.

What made this initiative particularly remarkable was its longevity. Among all the food points operated by Vizag Volunteers, Pinagadi remained active for the longest duration and was the last food point to be closed, continuing its service until the situation gradually improved and the immediate need for large-scale food relief declined.

The impact of the Pinagadi Food Point extended beyond the distribution of food. It demonstrated the power of collective action, compassion, and community spirit. Every meal served represented an act of kindness, and every volunteer contribution helped bring comfort and relief to someone facing hardship.

Vizag Volunteers extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers, donors, supporters, and community members who contributed to the success of this initiative. Their dedication and generosity made it possible to serve thousands of people and provide hope during a time when it was needed most.

The Pinagadi Food Point remains a proud chapter in the journey of Vizag Volunteers—a testament to the belief that when a community comes together with compassion and purpose, it can overcome even the most difficult challenges. 🍱🤝💙
