The Oxygen Bank was set up to help people getting discharged with post covid issues. Today it also helps people who need oxygen at home and are suffering from various lung ailments.

During the second wave of COVID-19, one of the biggest challenges faced by patients and their families was the shortage of oxygen support. As hospitals became overwhelmed and the number of cases increased rapidly, many patients required oxygen therapy either at hospitals or while recovering at home. Recognizing this urgent need, Vizag Volunteers launched the Oxygen Support Initiative to provide timely assistance to COVID-19 patients and their families.

People seeking assistance could contact the Vizag Volunteers helpline, 7337335557, through which requests were received and documented. Each request was then forwarded to dedicated on-ground volunteers who carried out verification procedures and coordinated the fulfillment process. This systematic approach helped ensure that support reached genuine cases as quickly as possible.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers and supporters who contributed to this mission. Their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication helped provide critical assistance to numerous COVID-19 patients and reinforced the values of service, empathy, and humanity.
