17th Blood Donation Camp(77th Independence Day)

Summary:
On August 15, 2023, On the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, Vizag Volunteers conducted a blood donation at the Shell Petrol Bunk at Sriharipuram, Gajuwaka, with the support of Lions Blood Bank. This was Vizag Volunteers 17th blood donation camp. The number of units of blood collected was 23, and one of the key members of Vizag Volunteers was placed as team leader at the blood donation camp. The team leader has led the blood donation camp in a very diligent manner, encouraging everyone to donate blood. Vizag Volunteers is very happy to have come as far as 17 blood donation camps, and it is sure that many more blood donation camps will be conducted to help with blood requirements.

The 17th blood donation camp was conducted by the Vizag Volunteers on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day in association with Shell Petrol Bunk and Lions Blood Bank. A total of 23 units of blood were collected that day. Many people came forward to donate blood; these donors fulfilled many blood requirements and are the real heroes.

How We Executed

Various Social media posts were made to increase awareness of the blood camps that are being conducted at the Shell Petrol Bunk in Gajuwaka. On August 15, it was Vizag Volunteers 17th blood donation camp, and our key member was placed as a team leader. The blood donation camp was conducted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There were 23 blood donations, and many people voluntarily came forward to donate blood and save lives in the future.
