- Summary:
As Vizag Volunteers, we participated in a project called "Real Needy." This marks our 6th visit. On December 28th, 2023, in the heart of Vizag, a beautiful and meaningful event unfolded at KGBV Schools in the places of Anandapuram, Bheemili, Padmanabham, and Kothavalasa (Gurukulam), with the assistance of the Vizag Volunteers Association and in collaboration with INS Kalinga. We, the Vizag Volunteers, collected nearly 10 boxes of old and new clothes, 10th-grade science and math materials, 52 tube lights, and sports kits. Here is a breakdown of the sports kits distributed at each location: Anandapuram - Foot balls-2, Cricket balls-2, Sports shoes and socks-12,Throw ball-1,Yoga mats-2, Shuttle bats-4, Fly discs-3, Tennis balls-3. Bheemili - Sports shoes and socks-20, Tennikoit rings-15, Yoga mats-10, Throw ball net-1. Padmanabham - Foot balls-2, Cricket balls-2, Skipping ropes-10, Sports shoes and socks-30, Tennikoit rings-15, Chess set-5, Carrom board and coins-3, Shuttle cocks-24, Throw ball-2, Yoga mat-2, Shuttle bat-4, Fly discs-3, Tennis balls-3, Throw ball net-1. kothavalsa(Gurukulam)- Foot balls-2, Cricket balls-2, Skipping ropes-10, Sports shoes and socks-30, Tennikoit rings-15, Chess set-5, Carrom board and coins-3, Shuttle cocks-24, Throw ball-2, Yoga mat-2, Shuttle bat-4, Fly discs-3, Tennis balls-3, Throw ball net-1. The Vizag Volunteers divided into two groups and covered these four locations for distribution. One group visited Padmanabham and Kothavalasa (Gurukulam), while the other group visited Anandapuram and Bheemili.
On December 28th, 2023, in the heart of Vizag, a beautiful and meaningful event unfolded at KGBV Schools in the places of Anandapuram, Bheemili, Padmanabham, and Kothavalasa (Gurukulam), with the assistance of the Vizag Volunteers Association and in collaboration with INS Kalinga. We, the Vizag Volunteers, collected nearly 10 boxes of old and new clothes, 10th-grade science and math materials, 52 tube lights, and sports kits. The volunteers were divided into two batches. One group commenced at 9:30 am at the office premises, reaching Padmanabham at 11:30 am to distribute the collected items to the children and bring joy to their faces. Subsequently, the group moved to Kothavalasa to extend their generosity to the children there. At 1:30 pm, the other batch of volunteers started their journey to Bheemili for the distribution event. Interestingly, students from Anandapuram joined the Bheemili branch, prompting the volunteers to provide the necessary items to the students in Bheemili.

How We Executed
The Vizag Volunteers successfully carried out a heartwarming project, setting a great example of what a community can achieve when working together for a shared goal. This project shows that with dedication, teamwork, and a sincere desire to make a positive change, even a small group of people can have a meaningful impact and motivate others to do the same. Our registered Vizag volunteers, along with interns interested in volunteering, participated in this program. The volunteers were happy while distributing the items, and the students felt joy in receiving them. This experience brought smiles to both the givers and the receivers.
