“Oxygen For Life”

The second wave of the covid-19 pandemic wreaked havoc in the city of Vizag; for two months, the health system was overburdened, and many people lost their lives due to the unavailability of Medical Oxygen when required. In addition, people waited long hours for getting their oxygen cylinders refilled.

Mr Satish came up with the idea of an Oxygen bank in Vizag with an inventory of 500 Oxygen Concentrators and more than 800 Oxygen Cylinders of different capacities. He shared the idea to the key members, and all agreed.

As a result, Mr Jagadish was handed over the responsibility of the team lead for the project and had to oversee its operations. The establishment of the Oxygen Bank was only made possible due to the donors, and with their help, we are determined to reach our goal. Today we have an inventory of 91 concentrators and have fulfilled more than 70 requests for oxygen help.

We receive the requests through our helpline, and after due process and verification, the oxygen concentrator or cylinder is provided to the patients. We soon plan to implement technology and complete the process of requests and fulfilment via our website.
